What content does it remove?

By default, it removes XML declarations, DOCTYPE, comments, metadata blocks, and editor-specific namespaces and attributes like those from Inkscape/Sodipodi. It also collapses whitespace between tags and converges coordinate values to the set precision. These are redundant information that does not affect display, and removing them significantly reduces file size.

Will optimization change the appearance of the graphics?

Accepted Answer

The tool uses a conservative strategy, only cleaning redundancy and converging values, without rearranging paths or changing structure, so visually it remains unchanged under normal circumstances. If numerical precision is set too low (e.g., 0 decimal places), curves may slightly deviate; if distortion is noticed, increase precision by one or two digits. The optional 'Remove title/desc' removes accessibility descriptions; check it as needed.

Will my SVG be uploaded?

Accepted Answer

No. The pasted or uploaded SVG is only parsed and optimized locally in the browser, not sent to any server. After optimization, you can directly copy the code or download the file; the original always remains on your device.
